A tenth of our income is to be given back to God, so that the gospels can continue to be taught and reach many. Any additional gift offerings made to the church is greatly appreciated and much needed. Your tithes and offerings are supporting and expanding many ministries here at ncc. The Tithe Principle – It’s as Simple as 1,2,3
1. The tithe is holy and belongs to God.
[ Leviticus 27:30 ] “All the tithe of the land…is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.”
2. God asks me to return the tithe to the storehouse.
[ Malachi 3:10 ] “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse.”
3. God has promised blessings to those who obey.
[ Proverbs 3: 9-10 ] “Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.”
“He who gives men power to get wealth has with the gift bound up an obligation. Of all that we acquire He claims a specified portion. The tithe is the Lord’s. ‘All the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree,’ ‘the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, . . . shall be holy unto the Lord.’ Leviticus 27:30-32
